Robot multiple contact control
This paper addresses the problem of contact force control for multiple contacts distributed over multiple links in a robot. This is of importance when performing complex tasks in unstructured environment, particularly in humanoid robot applications. The proposed multicontact control framework provides a new way of defining the operational space coordinates, which facilitates the specification o...
متن کاملOn multiple model control for multiple contact systems
Multiple contact interaction is common in many robotic applications. These include grasping, wheeled vehicles, and distributed manipulation. All of these applications are capable of experiencing stick/slip phenomena at the contact interfaces. In particular, when there are more kinematic constraints than there are degrees of freedom, some contact interfaces must slip. Moreover, this stick/slip b...
متن کاملAdaptive interaction robot control with estimation of contact force
This paper deals with a new adaptive force-position control of a robotic manipulator based on force estimation. First, an adaptive position controller is derived with contact force component as estimated parameters. Second, a supervisory external loop is added in order to regulate the contact force to the desired value. Extensive simulations with 2-DOF manipulator illustrate the followed approach.
متن کاملAdaptive Control for Multiple Cooperative Robot Arms
,2= Abstract In this paper, we address the control problem of multiple robots manipulating a load cooperatively. First we propose a controller that ensures the asymptotic convergence of the load position and the internal forces to their desired values. Next we propose an adaptive control scheme for the multi-robot system. The adaptive controller ensures the asymptotic convergence of the load po...
متن کاملDistributed impedance control of multiple robot systems
This paper proposes the distributed impedance approach as a new formulation of multiple robot systems control. In this approach, each cooperating manipu-lator is provided with its own independant impedance controller. In addition, along selected degrees of freedom , force control is achieved through an external loop, in order to improve control of the object's internal loading. Extensive stabil...
